How
We Work.

Almost all workplace disputes or reorganisations involve some element of risk. Our job is not to guide you down a path that is so risk-averse that the corresponding 'opportunity' is removed from the equation. We help you to manage risk, communicate effectively and achieve your objectives.

We combine a focus on practicality, a high degree of emotional intelligence and innovative use of text-to-speech technology to give your business the best chance of success.

What we offer

Non-Compete

Restrictive covenants are enforced by the courts, but often only when employers have given careful consideration to the extent of employee restraint needed to protect their 'legitimate business interests'. We can draft restrictive covenants for you that are practical and commercial. And, if it does become necessary, enforce your rights by applying to the court on your behalf for an injunction.

Tribunal Representation

We all hope that disputes at work don’t result in employment tribunal claims. And, in reality, most won’t. But when that one tribunal claim does land, we can support you and your managers from start to finish, and, with retained clients, for fixed fees.

Retainer Options

We offer a range of fixed-price 'unlimited matters' retainers which afford you autonomy over, and certainty about, your monthly employment law budget. Giving you peace of mind that the clock doesn't start ticking when you pick up the phone to your lawyer.

Can we support your
HR Investigations
?

HR investigations are frequently needed to establish facts. This might be in response to a disciplinary situation involving complex allegations. Or, it might be in response to a grievance raised by an employee, perhaps entailing sensitive allegations against a senior person within your organisation. Grievances often involve “whistleblowing allegations” which must be carefully investigated.

HOW PEOPLE LAW CAN SUPPORT YOUR HR INVESTIGATION:

  • We can provide an investigator to undertake the HR investigation on your behalf.

  • All of our investigations comply with ACAS guidance, reflect HR and employment law good practice, and ensure that facts are established that will enable you as an employer to make a truly informed and fair decision about the disciplinary or grievance situation which has arisen and to do so with confidence.

  • Depending on the complexity of your situation and the extent to which any technical legal or regulatory issues are involved, we are able to provide an HR consultant or a solicitor to serve as your investigator.
